Romda - A bill that would have approve the further development of the village of Gavaredi's tourism industry has been killed by in the Tsënt́ri regional council. The decree would have allowed public and private entities to developed tourist infrastructure inside of a 91-hectare area of land between the village of Gavaredi and the commune of Kvemë.

Despite only hold 3 out of 45 seats in the regional council, the Farmer's and Green's Union still hold considerable power both in the council and in the national parliament. With no clear majority in the council each and every vote is important to the Social Democratic government. It was, in fact, the PMK who killed the tourism bill.

Speaking inside the council's champers council woman Heidi Grimis T́vini (PMK) was quoted as saying, "Today is a win for farmers, fishers, and the environment in which animals can thrive."
