Tamara -Speaking to their fans from home, the twenty-three Agausian Olympic athletes appeared in a video call with the iconic Eiffel Tower in the background. "We are committed to making our supporters at home proud. Thank you all for your unwavering support, and we look forward to seeing you at the games," expressed Agausian Gymnast Zoâ Ṕant́oviči.

The athletes from Agausia in Paris will compete in eight sports: basketball, boxing, gymnastics, judo, rowing, sailing, swimming, and tennis. Notably, tennis player Grigoli Gо́žbûm has qualified once again. Gо́žbûm previously participated in 2016, 2004, and 1996. "Being in Paris is incredible, and it's surreal to be at my fourth Olympic Games. I am grateful to Agausia and God for my achievements," Gо́žbûm remarked upon returning to the Olympic village after a team event.

With France being home to the world’s third largest Agausian diaspora, after Russia and Turkey, this year’s Olympic competitions have been an important cultural moment for the small Eastern European nation. With current education, culture, research and sports minister Boris Alizade using his time in Paris to strengthen cultural ties, the Agausian presence at the Olympics is more than just about sports; it's a celebration of heritage and unity. Alizade has organized several cultural exchange events.

As the opening ceremonies come to an end, the excitement is palpable not just among the athletes but also among all Agausians diaspora in France. Many have come together to form support groups, organizing watch parties and creating banners and flags to cheer on their athletes. This sense of unity and pride is a testament to the enduring spirit of the Agausian people, both at home and abroad.

Looking ahead, the Agausian team is optimistic about their chances at the games. With rigorous training, unwavering support from their fans, and a deep sense of national pride, they are ready to give their best performance. As Zoâ Ṕant́oviči aptly put it, "We are not just competing for medals; we are here to represent our nation and our people. Every moment on that stage is a tribute to Agausia."
