Nebisḱopa to announce reforms to fight inflation

Tamara - Prime Minister Aṕolona Nebisḱopa is set to make remarks on Monday regarding planned reforms the government is going to take that should help ease inflation. As of April 2022, Agausia's inflation rate has been hovering near 10.5%, up from a year ago when inflation was steady at 6%. 

 

It is highly anticipated that the PM will announce that the government will draft a new budget to ease public spending. In April the Cabinet of Agausia and the Board of National Trustees met on twelve different occasions. On several occasions Roman Demuri, president of the national bank, has said that raising interest rates or restricting the money supply were all tools in the toolbox. 

Nebisḱopa has faced recent criticism. Her critics have accused her of being, "absent and aloof as regular day Agausians suffer." In late March there were rumors of an opposition led effort to call a vote of no confidence, but it was ultimately unsuccessful.
