Parliament will debate pro-union bill

 Author: St́epanâ Šurigini

Tamara - On Sunday morning television Chairman of the Parliament Âḱob Ramont́i (SD) confirmed that the parliament will begin deliberations on a bill intended to strengthen unions' ability to make decisions regarding leadership in Agausia's largest nationalized companies.

A bill, authored by Pelisâ Ṕet́rosâni and Eṕim Aṕaḱi (AS), which will be a big union win, has finally advanced out of committee. After two years of stalling in committees, legislation which will allow unions to have a say in who leads their companies, MPs will begin debating on the various aspects of the bill.

"If passed, this will be a huge victory for the Agausian working class. I am proud to have been a part of this legislation," said Pelisâ Ṕet́rosâni, party chair of the New Socialists. Ṕet́rosâni's bill does appear to have major support by union leaders and workers. If passed this could help the New Socialists just before the elections in August and November.
