Class of 2022 Reflects: One year later

Tamara - It has been a year since the Class of 2022 donned their graduation caps, and as they reflect on their post-graduation journey, university graduates from all over Agausia find themselves navigating a challenging job market. Despite economic uncertainties and high unemployment rates, these resilient young professionals have been determined to forge their paths and make their mark in their respective fields.

One such graduate is Ana Ṕet́râsi, a twenty-four-year-old with a degree in Computer Science from Maldabraze University, in Odssa. When asked about her experience over the past year, Ana acknowledges the difficulties but remains hopeful. "Finding a job in my field was not easy," she says. "There was fierce competition, and many companies are downsizing or closing due to the economic challenges. But I remained persistent and continued to network and improve my skills."

Ana's determination paid off, and after several months of diligent searching, she secured a junior software developer position at a local tech startup. "I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with a talented team and gain practical experience," she shares. "It's been a steep learning curve, but I'm excited about the possibilities and the chance to contribute to the growth of the company."

While Ana's success story is inspiring, not all graduates have had a seamless journey into the workforce. Malkaz Žoržolâni, a recent Economics graduate from Tamara University of Business and Agriculture, found himself facing numerous rejections and limited job openings. "It has been tough," Malkaz admits. "I had to take on part-time jobs to make ends meet while relentlessly applying for positions in my field."

Despite the challenges faced by Agausian graduates, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Sports reports a positive trend. According to their data, forty-three percent of the Class of 2022 graduates are currently employed in their respective fields of study, a notable increase from thirty-six percent three years ago.

Minister of Education, Anamarâ Nëmet́i (SD), emphasizes the importance of continuous support for graduates. "We are committed to fostering an environment that nurtures the talent and potential of our graduates," she states. "Efforts are being made to strengthen partnerships between universities and industries, offer mentorship programs, and provide additional training opportunities to enhance employability."

The Class of 2022 remains resilient, with many graduates pursuing further education, entrepreneurial ventures, or alternative career paths. Despite the challenges posed by the current economic climate, these young professionals are determined to make a difference and contribute to Agausia's development.

As the nation continues its efforts to stimulate economic growth and reduce unemployment, the achievements and aspirations of the Class of 2022 serve as a reminder of the immense potential that lies within Agausia's young workforce.
