Imedis - On Tuesday United Alliance party leader, Kalul Ramont́i, dropped a political bombshell that has the potential to dramatically change Agausia's political landscape. Speaking at a press event in Imedis the presidential hopeful essentially withdrew his party's support for prime minter Nebisḱopa's government.
Despite not being in a coalition with the government, nor in a supporting agreement with them, the center-left United Alliance (GA) had previously lent their support to the minority government. That support is in serious question after Ramont́i's latest announcement, "It is abundantly clear that those currently in charge are unable to run this country. The United Alliance has made the ultimate decision to not support nor to participate with governments in which we are not an official part of."
Without mentioning the situation by name Ramont́i seems to be suggesting that he, nor his party, will support whomever the Social Democrats select to replace former finance minister Niḱolozi Pat́aški. This situation is likely to have lasting political consequences and will likely spill over into the 2022 election season.
